Employees of Center of cultural programs prepared for children's summer camps school № 25/11 and Lyceum № 33 literary meeting dedicated to the national holiday - the Day of family, love and fidelity. Presenter Olga Bezukh told the children that this holiday for our country is young and has been celebrated since 2008. However, its origins takes it from the Orthodox calendar, according to which the 8th of July is the Day of saints Peter and Fevronia of Murom - Orthodox patrons of family and marriage, representing Russian culture, marital love, and faithfulness. 
Guys heard fragments of «the Tale of Peter and Fevronia of Murom, which in old times was the favorite reading of the Russian people from the czars to the commoners, and now this work is called "the pearl of old Russian literature".
For the fascinating story followed the animated cartoon «the Tale of Peter and Fevronia», after which the boys excitedly answered questions of the quiz, devoted to the holiday riddles and remembered Proverbs and sayings about the family.

The students learned that the symbol of love and loyalty in Russia is chamomile. This delicate flower of the field represents love, youth and purity. And to the question - what kind of bird in Rus was considered a symbol of fidelity answered in chorus, the Swan.

In the end the guys enthusiastically painted cards, which represented their views about family. Among the main symbols of the holiday - daisies and swans, diagrams, and were cute cat-like snout. According to the boys, the cat in the family is a sign of tranquility, peace and comfort. Why, it's hard not to agree.

In conclusion of the meeting, the guys got good feast small gifts. And on the 10th of July guests in library will come the boys of summer camps schools № 10 and 32 to also hear the wonderful «Tale of Peter and Fevronia of Murom».
